Background
While it's (again!) a bit late for a seasonal festival, the weather has been bananas. So, even in late November I'm crossing my fingers that it'll be cold enough to light our first communal fire. We'll roast marshmallows and whatever else folks would like to heat up over a small wood fire, or the Nija Foodi air fryer inside. Linden is convinced I should still have cake even though we'll be roasting marshmallows. What do you think?
We'll have some decent low-sugar beverages, and maybe some hot chocolate. I'll also serve up a pechuga-style apple brandy from the Baltimore Spirits Company. If you'd prefer a vegan spirit I'll also have brandy that was not smoked under a Maryland ham. And if you prefer not to drink alcohol, that is also supported and encouraged!
We've also made strides organizing the basement and making musical things easier to futz with. Kids from 2+ and any interested adults are welcome to join in, and even bring your own instruments to plug into the mixer.
Preparation
Come as you are at any time during the party.
Like I mentioned above, you're welcome to bring an instrument, but we have PLENTY. And you are welcome to bring things to share (especially for cooking over a fire!) - but you don't have to.
If you would like to share any other experinces with the group (games, performances, short instructionals) that would be awesome. Please let me know what you're thinking and we'll make sure there's space.
